SUMMARY:Taylorville's 4th of July Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Join Mayor Barry\, the Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce\, and Downtown Taylorville for a 4th of July Celebration!\n\nThe parade begins at 10 am and will travel up Main Cross and around the Square. If you’d like to join the parade line-up will take place at the Christian County Fairgrounds at 9 am. Please enter at the Main Gate. Vietnam Veterans will be the Honorary Parade Marshalls. If any would like to walk or drive in the parade please contact Marcia at 217-824-3555.\n\nFollowing the parade\, join Mayor Barry on the Square for a Hot Dog Luncheon! Live music from Matthew & June Adermann.\n\nLake Point Veterans Memorial Dedication Service will follow at 1:30 pm at the memorial. They will be dedicating the 5th Wall and two benches.\n\nThe Taylorville Municipal Band will present its annual Fourth of July Concert at 7:00pm at the Lake Taylorville Marina. The free program will feature American and Patriotic selections that will appeal to all ages. The community is welcome to bring their lawn chairs and make this a part of their July 4 celebrations! The Taylorville Municipal Band is directed by Mr. Chris Gunn.\n\nCelebrate at dusk with a Fireworks Show at Lake Taylorville provided by The Taylorville Optimist Club
